. . . Actually, for some time.

First things first.

I'm a die-hard Obama fan, I fully expect him to win the 2008 election by a whopping, lopsided, and truly embarassing margin.

BUT . . .

He's not doing it today. That's what the aggregate polling is saying.

Hmmm....where to start.  Let's start with the fact that lightiris's diary manages to condemn the religious faith of a billion people--which is the definition of the "Church"--by the painfully obvious failings of its leaders.

Let's try a lesson in analogy, shall we?  

Let's see if by that same exquisite logic, we progressive Americans ought to be painted as "evil," repressive, tyrannical, cruel and reactionary. Because, apparently, the new rule is we are what our leaders are.  

Rant continues over the hill . . .

I know, this is a sort of "Stop the Presses" moment, but McClellan didn't grossly distorts the nature of the law that Bush signed in 199, the Texas Futile Care Law.  

There seems to be a significant misunderstanding about what the law did differently than previous hospital practice in Texas. If I'm wrong about this, I'll appologize in advance; I've been supporting BiminiCat's interpretation during the day, which, after some sleuthing, still appears to be right.

More over the hill . . .

So we want to accomplish something in the 2006 midterm election? Let's put our money where our anger is right now.

We want control of Congress. We want every race competitive in 2006. We want to see our community committed to the big picture; a vital, powerful opposition to BushCo's last two dreadful years in office.

How to support this?

Well, we're now officially scraping the bottom of the barrel, so this shouldn't be too unexpected.
